Introduction
TubeText is operated by {{CompanyName}}. References to “TubeText,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean {{CompanyName}} and the TubeText service.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TubeText, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy (/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use TubeText for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
Description of the Service
TubeText processes user-submitted URLs for publicly accessible YouTube videos and may provide transcript extraction, AI summaries, AI notes, translations, timestamps, and TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX, or PDF exports. Features and limits may vary by plan.
User Accounts
Accounts may be created through Google Sign-In or email authentication. You must provide accurate information, protect access to your account, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use. TubeText never asks for your Google or YouTube password.
Acceptable Use
Use TubeText only lawfully. You must not infringe rights, submit restricted or illegal content, bypass service limits or access controls, abuse AI features, distribute malware, attack or scrape the service automatically, reverse engineer the platform, or interfere with other users.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for every video URL you submit, for having appropriate rights or permission to process it, and for your use and distribution of all resulting content and exports.
Intellectual Property
TubeText and its software, design, branding, and original materials are owned by {{CompanyName}} or its licensors. These Terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service.
User Content
You retain any rights you hold in URLs, instructions, transcripts, and other material you submit or generate. You grant us a limited license to process that material only as needed to operate, secure, and support TubeText and comply with law.
YouTube Content
TubeText does not host YouTube videos, does not own YouTube content, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube. We process only publicly accessible content identified by users. Availability remains subject to YouTube and the relevant rights holders.
AI Generated Content Disclaimer
AI-generated summaries, notes, and translations may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Verify important information against the original video and obtain professional advice where appropriate.
Exported Documents
TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX, and PDF files are generated automatically from processed results. You are responsible for reviewing their accuracy, formatting, rights clearance, and suitability before relying on or sharing them.
Payments
Paid transactions are processed by Stripe. Prices, currency, billing interval, taxes, and included features are displayed before checkout. We do not store full payment-card details.
Subscription Terms
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and are also governed by the Subscription Terms (/subscription-terms). Usage limits reset as described for the selected plan and unused allowances do not carry forward unless stated otherwise.
One-Time Purchases
A one-time purchase provides the access described at checkout for the selected video and does not renew automatically. It does not create a subscription or provide access for other videos.
Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription through available account controls. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues through the paid billing period unless law requires otherwise. One-time purchases cannot be cancelled after digital performance has been completed.
Refund Policy
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy (/refund-policy) and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Service Availability
TubeText is provided on an as-available basis. Processing may fail because of source-video restrictions, missing captions, third-party changes, maintenance, or events beyond our reasonable control. We may change or discontinue features.
Third-Party Services
TubeText relies on services such as YouTube, Supabase, Stripe, Google authentication and analytics, and, where configured, OpenAI. Their services and terms are outside our control.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, {{CompanyName}} is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for reliance on inaccurate AI output. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid TubeText during the 12 months before the claim. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify {{CompanyName}} against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, submitted content, infringement of rights, or breach of these Terms.
Termination
You may stop using TubeText at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, fraud, security risks, non-payment, or legal requirements, using proportionate measures where practical.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an effective change means acceptance where permitted by law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to {{CompanyName}}, without overriding mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights available where you live.
Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to {{LegalEmail}} or {{CompanyName}}, {{CompanyAddress}}. See Contact Us (/contact-us) for support channels.
